$100,000 Consulting Agreement, Other Agenda Items Tuesday
The Amarillo City Council meets Tuesday and there are some interesting items on the agenda. Discussion Items are an update on Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan implemented early this past week. Council and staff will also discuss the Proposed 2026/2027 Budget and Proposed Tax Rate.
An Interlocal Agreement with AISD for limited dispatch services and a Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT Tax) expenditure by the Amarillo CVB also on the agenda.
Council will also consider approving nearly $100,000 plus travel expenses to engage Express Pros Training for a year, the same firm the city paid $12,500 to recently for 8 hours of strategic consulting.
That meeting is set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, third floor of City Hall. Public Comment will be heard.
