The Borger City Council will meet Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in Chambers at 600 North Main Street. The Council will Consider and take appropriate action on a resolution nominating Phillips 66 as a Texas Enterprise Project by the Office of the Governor Economic and Tourism through the Economic Development Bank. They will consider and take appropriate action on an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Borger and the City of Stinnett for Water Operation, an Interlocal Agreement for Temporary Public Water System Operator Services. The Council will Receive the Fiscal Year 2027 Proposed Operating Budget, schedule a public hearing for September 1st, 2026, at 6:30 PM, and then consider and take appropriate action to introduce, on first reading for adopting the budget. According to the Borger Taxpayer Impact Statement: the median-valued homestead per $100 valuation will go up $60.83 in 2027. The no-new revenue tax rate per $100 valuation will be $438.15. There will also be a time for public comments.
