Amarillo College Receives $500,000 Grant

Amarillo College will expand welding training, create new workforce credentials and strengthen industry partnerships thanks to a $500,000 grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The two-year grant will support curriculum redesign, faculty development and the creation of new continuing education (CE) welding credentials, providing shorter-term training options that can help students quickly gain workforce skills and enter high-demand careers. It also builds on Amarillo College’s partnerships with regional employers.
