Adrian Man Killed In One Vehicle Crash
An Adrian man was killed Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on the I-40 service road four miles west of Adrian. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1984 Chevrolet K3500 Cheyenne Dully driven by 80-year-old Gary Wayne James was traveling westbound on the south service road of I-40 at an unsafe speed for the curve in the roadway. Mr. James failed to negotiate the curve, lost control of the vehicle, and rolled over, ejecting him from the vehicle. . According to Cindy Barkley with the DPS, Mr. James was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Texas Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
