Amarillo Man Drowned At Lake Meredith Saturday
A 29-year-old Amarillo man drowned at Lake Meredith late Saturday night. Two men attempted to swim across Harbor Bay between 12midnight at 1am. One man turned back after getting tired but the other continued and did not return. A National Park Service boat found the man’s body at 12:51pm on Sunday near Blue West. An Autopsy has been ordered. Identification of the deceased man is being held pending notification of next of kin by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
