Amarillo Police Arrest Suspect In Sunday Fatal Accident
Amarillo Police Department PACE officers have arrested 43-year-old Justin Shepherd and charged him with Collision Involving Death .
41-year-old Eric Gilliam was killed just after 1 Sunday morning when a vehicle he was a passenger in was struck by a vehicle driven by Shepard that ran a red light. That accident happened in the area of South Georgia Street and Southwest 15th Avenue.
The car struck an SUV and pickup that were traveling through that intersection. Shepard’s vehicle then went on to crash into another truck at South Georgia Street and South Julian Boulevard. Gilliam was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Justin Shepard was booked into the Potter County Jail.
